No APU ? Interesting Tongue

I can´t tell you HOW OFTEN airplanes fly without APU... And if you have no APU today, and the airport is unable to get a f*** GPU  to the plane.... leave 1 eng running until they got one

maybe someday we will hear someone asking clearance to leave the aircraft Grin

in the real world, on some small airports with many general aviation traffics, sometimes pilots do report "on apron and closing down. Thank you".

I consider this as a politeness, not mandatory.

On IVAO is possible to find a lot of different sceneries and pilot not using charts and unfamiliar with the airfield..so i thnik the expression "on block" can be helpfull for the ATCs to understand properly that the aircraft will not move anymore on the apron. Usually an ATC should give just taxi instruction, no adding more.. something like: "XXXX taxi via I NG to gate 401, bye..."
